North Shore Rescue Needs Further Funding to Finish off new Rescue Base
North Shore Rescue is in the final stages of completing a new Rescue Base located at 61 Bewicke Ave in North Vancouver. This $1.4 million facility is jointly funded by all three North Shore municipalities , the Charros Foundation and North Shore Rescue.
All key items that will allow our team to move in and be operational in early January 2013 have been fully funded.
However, North Shore Rescue is respectfully asking for public support to allow our team to complete outfitting of this amazing facility with the following items that will completely allow us to perform indoor rope rescue training, fully maintain our equipment and provide full administrative support.
The items that need funding are a Rope Rescue Catwalk , Industrial Washer and Dryer, Full Mechanic Tools Inventory, several computers and AV equipment and office furniture and tables.
The final funding need is $70,000.
Tax Receipts will be issued for donations of $20 dollars or more. Donations can be made by mail to North Shore Rescue 147 East 14th Street North Vancouver V7L 2N4 or online through Canada Helps.
We deeply appreciate any support that the public can provide us so we can better perform our vital service to the North Shore and beyond.
