Great Job NSR! Four days of hard work paid off. Thanks for helping others when things don't work out as planned (or not planned as may be the case..).

Unfortunatly it wasn't four days of searching. If the resort would have reported this earlier...
Nevertheless, proud be his cousin.
You are my hero Big Jim

As the mom of a backcountry climber, I can imagine the terror his family has been experiencing. Thanks to the members of the search and rescue team who literally risk their own lives to bring home other people's loved ones. As some commenters have said, you are real heroes.

Did this guy intentionally leave the patrolled area or did he get disoriented and mistakenly leave the patrolled area? The CTV News article states that he thought he was "following the basic ski track". Are trails poorly marked up on Seymour or did he use poor judgement?

I ride on Seymour and many other BC mountains. Seymour is the only mountain I have ever seen with a physical rope going around the entire mountain! It is not poorly marked and those who "mistakenly" go out of bounds are either blind or trying to pass blame on others. Lets take personal responsibility when we make a mistake.

You truly are amazing people! Putting your life on the line everytime you go out to search for someone. I realize that without Jamie's determination he wouldn't have survived, but without your team he also wouldn't have survived. It must be such a gratifying, rewarding, amazing feeling to save someones life!!! And THANKYOU ALL from the bottom of my heart for saving my nephews life!!!You are truly hereos!

Thank you to the gentlemen from Whistler who came down and found Jamie. You men are angels.
Thank you to EVERYONE who was manning a radio or in a helecopter or on the hill over those days of searching.
I'd like to asure people who have written on here that Jamie is not the type of man to duck a rope and go out of bounds. He's used to Ontario hills and was only meaning to go down the green run.
I can't say thank you enough.. so much love.
