Guy Black and his family provided NSR with a very generous $5000 donation. Guy submitted the below.
Submitted by Guy Black:
North Shore Rescue was paid tribute November 3rd at Cedar Springs Retirement Residence, four NSR team members were marched into the building escorted by a BC Regiment Pipe Sergeant and welcomed by the resident’s of the centre.
It was a fitting tribute to the men and women of NSR who themselves had recently paid tribute to Korean War veterans in June and then through much work and expense with the Hastings Lake commemoration atop Mount Seymour.
On behalf of my late father Gerald Black, mother Joanne and my wife Melanie and son’s Sean and Cameron, our family donated $5,000 to the team in order to pay back NSR for everything they have done directly for me and in recognition of what they do every day for anyone unlucky enough to get lost or become injured.
Thank you again on behalf of my family,
