Fundraising

North Shore Rescue welcomes your financial support.

The team receives funding and administrative support from the North Shore Emergency Management Office but depends heavily on donations from individuals, service clubs and corporations to supplement its training and equipment budgets.

North Shore Rescue also receives tremendous financial assistance from the BC Gaming Commission on an annual basis.

Equipment to support search and rescue operations must be state of the art to ensure safety and efficiency. A large part of the team’s budget is devoted to upgrading and replacing vital communications, rope rescue, first aid treatment and personal safety equipment.

The team has successfully completed two major fund-raising drives to replace its two main vehicles, NS1 Command and NS4 4×4 Support and as well as establishing a comprehensive radio repeater system. Our thanks go out to everyone in the community for their broad-based support of the team in our time of need. This allows us to respond to calls in a safe, professional and timely manner. Many, many thanks to all donors reagrdless of the size of your contribution and special thanks to the major, valued and service club sponsors who are recognized on NSR vehicles and here on our website. Individuals or organizations interested in making major donations can be recognized for this in a similar way as mutually agreeable.

If you are interested in making a donation to help cover our immediate operational, maintenance and training needs please make your cheque payable to:

If you should ever receive an unsolicited telephone call asking for funds and the caller says that the money will go to North Shore Rescue, or is in any way associated with North Shore Rescue, please be aware that is not the case!

In addition to the immediate operational, maintenance and training budget needs outlined above the team have established two endowment funds with the West Vancouver Community Foundation to establish a guaranteed source of funds for future needs.
