On Friday August 3rd, NSR members on the Grouse Grind Patrol came across a female hiker who had became dehydrated and ill. After oral rehydration proved unsuccessful, an Advanced Life Support Paramedic from North Shore Rescue  treated the subject with IV therapy to get her up and moving.

Every night NSR members are hydrating, giving out lights and either turning back or escorting ill prepared hikers up or down the trail. NSR does this patrol on behalf of Metro Vancouver.
