Avalanche hazard for the North Shore is High at and below treeline for today, tommorrow and leading into the weekend. This means that avalanches are likely to certain on all aspects where there is snowpack. This means that if you head out in the next couple days, you should rethink your route or even rethink the overall activity for the day. This is the time to stay conservative and pick ativities and routes as such.

That said, NSR is at high alert and members have done significant training this year to ensure avalanche safety for operations. However, if the risk is too high, it can inhibit rescuers from getting on scene to assist. So be safe out there!
