North Vancouver City is in the process of planning a new works yard in a new location, and NSR’s current rescue base will be moving with it.

The 3 municipalities are providing the land and the building, however, all other components are up to NSR. We estimate that it will take $200,000 to equip the new base.

NSR is looking for community support to help complete this project. NSR is looking for services (plumbing, construction etc.), construction materials, and donations.

This base is designed to maintain the bulk of NSR operations, and is a central staging area for vehicles, equipment, and training.

It is also NSR’s main communication hub, and is a equipment storage and staging area for major urban incidents.

The rescue base is used for classroom sessions and meetings as well.

This rescue base is an essential component in NSR’s operations.
