Rememberance Day 2004
NSR NSR teamed up with BC ambulance Service Paramedics to
provide medical coverage for the estimated 6000 attendees
to the remeberance ceremony in North Vancouver. In 2003 NSR
and BCAS dealt with 14 patients who fainted or who had cardiac
related problems within a 30 minute time frame during the
ceremony.
North Shore Rescue provides medical/rescue
coverage to the CBC Trail Bike race which was part of the
North Shore CreditUnion's
World Mountain Bike Festival .
The World Famous Kneeknacker Endurance
Race
For the past 5 years NSR has covered this 41 km ulta running
race that
crosses the North Shore along the challenging Baden Powell
Trail. It
normally requires 12 members to act as sweeps, mini reaction
teams and
shadows of the race directors in order to effectively track
the runners who
get spread out very quickly acroos the North Shore. The Kneeknacker
Race
donates considerably to NSR.
Mt. Fromme North Shore Mountain
Bike Association - "Ripper" Moutain Bike
Competition. This event was covered by 11 NSR members,
2 team vehicles and the team ATV due to the extreme nature
of this competition.
