The Rotary Ride for Rescue is a road and mountain bike challenge up Cypress mountain. The road cyclists take on the paved road from Mulgrave School up to the lodge in the Cypress downhill ski area, while the mountain bike course follows the “BLT” trail up a series of steep trails to the same destination. Both courses are equally challenging, with North Shore Rescue providing first aid coverage for the riders, and encouragement the whole way up.
The Rotary Club of West Vancouver Sunrise has been a steadfast supporter of North Shore Rescue for many years, and has been instrumental in working with the team to generate funds for the Tim Jones Legacy Fund. The goal of the Tim Jones Legacy Fund is to create a stable base of funding for the team, enabling the team to focus on their primary mission of searching for and rescuing people lost or injured in the North Shore’s mountainous backcountry.
North Shore Rescue would like to thank all of the riders that have put in countless hours of training and have gathered pledges for the events, as well as the following organizations for their support of the Ride for Rescue:
Good luck to all riders!
