Every November 11, members of North Shore Rescue join our fellow emergency responders at the North Vancouver Cenotaph to honour and remember the members of our armed forces who gave their lives for our country. We are proud to be able to attend this important, and very powerful ceremony.
As part of our attendance, NSR provides medical support, alongside BC Ambulance Service Paramedics and City of North Vancouver Fire Fighters, to all members of the community who attend the event. This year, NSR advanced medical personnel and BCAS paramedics attended to roughly 15 patients during the ceremony. We also received support from the Scouts medical response unit, and would like to thank these dedicated, young, future emergency responders for their assistance.
The majority of our patients required minor care, and were quickly released back to the ceremony.
An amazing, yet somber day. Lest we forget.
